PERSONAL CONTENT | READS + ROASTS

To help further educate myself and stay in the know of trends (along with just having fun!) I created a “booktok” account, focusing on coffee and books. I have had a coffee account for a long time, but decided to rebrand the Instagram, and start a TikTok account from scratch. This has already helped me with “staying in brand” and figuring out what type of adjacent lifestyle content can get views and engagement when not focused on the main content (coffee and books).

CAREER CONTENT | ARSENAL ADVERTISING

As a Social Media + Performance Marketing Strategist, I was able to work on my skills around engagement and what drew folks’ interest and attention. I worked on Tourism accounts during my time at Arsenal Advertising. I was sourcing/creating content, copywriting, and planning the performance marketing strategy. Below are some examples of work (mainly Facebook are used for examples, Instagram and Twitter were also accounts used for these clients), and the first post was viral content for the respective client. I continuously aided in engagement and follow rates for all accounts and implemented the use of user-generated content (UGC).

GRAD ASSISTANTSHIP | TEXAS TECH COLLEGE OF AG

This was my first true test of creating content and developing an omnichannel strategy. For the college, I conducted a rebrand and also started creating student-first content that would attract not only current students and families, but also prospective students and alumni. I also started implementing phone-first and professionally recorded video content to utilize in recruiting efforts. Additionally, we began implementing the use of UGC content, featuring incoming students, to increase engagement across social channels, and the use of LIVE streaming sessions, to help feel more obtainable by potential students and families.

The engagement and follow numbers improved significantly during my stint. As you can see with the voting post, we found ways to garner attention and engagement before it became a standard norm, and before features were developed into the platforms for such engagement.

Back when boomerangs were all the rage, and before TikTok made waves. Our goal was to drive excitement amongst those attending the convention, but also drive those who were not attended to be excited and create a need to be there in the future.
